The platform model

Six layers, one responsible path to action.

Each layer answers a different question, from what information belongs in scope to how an output should reach the person or experience it is intended to support.

Platform principle. Purpose-bound signals

Start with the minimum gameplay context needed for a clear, authorized purpose.

Signal ingestion is a conceptual product layer. Product integrations should define what gameplay context is collected, why it is needed, and how long it is retained before any analysis begins.

Organize individual events into meaningful patterns of behavior, sequence, and game state.

A useful representation should preserve the context that makes a signal meaningful. Our current focus is understanding how approaches to play develop across moments—not reducing a person to a permanent label.

Current focus. Agentic reasoning and analysis

Connect observed patterns to a defined question, with boundaries appropriate to the use case.

Agentic systems can evaluate context, follow an analysis objective, and propose a useful next step. They should operate within explicit permissions and expose enough reasoning context for the audience to judge the output.

Translate analysis into concise information people can understand and use in the moment.

Delivery should fit the pace and role of its audience: a design signal, an operational alert, a coaching observation, or a player-facing explanation. We publish performance figures only once they're validated.

Future direction. Adaptive experience interfaces

Give games and people controlled ways to respond to context without removing player choice.

Future interfaces may support tuning, guidance, pacing, or presentation based on situational understanding. Any adaptation should be legible, bounded, reversible where appropriate, and evaluated for unintended effects.

Platform principle. Privacy and governance controls

Make responsible constraints part of the platform architecture rather than an afterthought.

Governance spans data minimization, access controls, retention, evaluation, monitoring, and human escalation. The right implementation depends on the deployment and audience; published practices reflect what can be verified for a specific deployment.
